Thank you all for a great turnout this month in Crestone! Our volunteer officers were introduced and spoke. We had over 40 people there to discuss community, state and national concerns and ideas as to how to mobilize. We are now going to meet bi-monthly on Zoom, so please look out for the link.
Saguache County Democratic Party Assembly-March 20th 2022 at 2pm
SAGUACHE COUNTY DEMS:
The Saguache County Democrats County Assembly will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022 at the Mountain Valley School 403 Pitkin Avenue, Saguache, CO 81149 in the cafeteria area in Saguache, or via Zoom, Link below.
We will not have a potluck this year for everyone’s health and safety
PLEASE ARRIVE BY 1:00 PM to check-in
2:00 PM – Call to Order
If you cannot attend please send your proxy form (attached) to Lynne Thompson today or bring it with you.
Candidates for U.S. Senate, Congressional District 3, Governor, Senate District 6, House District 62, and County Commissioner District 3, or their surrogates will have an opportunity to speak. Delegates to the District Assemblies and State Assembly will be elected.
Hopefully Governor Polis will Zoom in at 4:30, so please come!
Delegates at the County Assembly will determine which County Commissioner candidates going through the caucus/assembly process will be on the Ballot.
Those eligible to vote at the County Assembly are delegates (or Alternates if Delegates do not attend) elected at Caucuses.
The Assembly is open to the public. All are welcome!

Denver, CO – The Colorado Democratic Party released the following statement after President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris were sworn in as President and Vice President respectively:

Today, I watched with pride and patriotism as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took the sacred oaths to lead our country, and I stand optimistic for the promise of tomorrow as President Biden and Vice President Harris step up to tackle the many challenges we face.”

Election of New Officers to the Saguache County Democratic Party!
Charles Tidd was elected by unanimous vote to Chair.
Dawn Boiani was elected by unanimous vote to Secretary.
Bill McClure was elected by unanimous vote to Treasurer.
As it has in the past, the Central Committee will form the Vacancy Committee.
